School SES MILANES

Ses Milanes, an educational initiative in nature education, was founded in 2014 in Bunyola (Mallorca) by a group of mothers and fathers who, with their companions, manage its operations themselves. It is intended for families with children between two and six years old.

The children spend their mornings (8:30 am to 3:00 pm) in the forest accompanied by Patricia (Lic. Psychology and educator) and Raquel (Lic. Educación Infantil). Free play and close relationships with nature are encouraged, thus promoting a change in perception of the environment: “nature is not a consumer good, it is the foundation of our existence”. At the same time, the psychophysical abilities of children are developed and improved in the primordial class of humanity, which is nature.

FRIDAYS FOR FUTURE

In August 2018, Greta Thunberg, at the age of 15, started spending her days outside the Swedish Parliament to call for stronger action on global warming by holding up a sign saying “School strike for the weather”.

Today, thousands of colleges and schools allow students of all ages to strike and tell their truth. Parents, individuals and many international NGOs support this ever-growing GLOBAL MOVEMENT.

EXTINCTION REBELLION

We are facing an unprecedented global emergency. Life on Earth is in crisis: scientists agree that we have entered a period of abrupt degradation of the climate, and we are in the midst of a massive extinction of our own manufacture.
